At the heart of NFC Sports is a set of core values that permeate all that we do. We believe that adhering to these core values will lay a solid foundation for NFC Sports and help ensure our success. We will give every member the opportunity to see these core values in action and then apply them to their own lives. We see all NFC Sports sports programs as tools we use to accomplish our mission and achieve our vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

Our four core values are:

To tell the truth, to act in such a way that you are worthy of trust, to have integrity; making sure your choices match your values..

Respect
To treat others as you would have them treat you; to value the worth of every person, including yourself..

Caring
To love others, to be sensitive to the well-being of others, to help others..

Responsibility
To do what is right, what you ought to do; to be accountable for your behavior and obligations.

NFC Sports' commitment to character development makes it extraordinarily valuable to the communities and people we serve. Building on this commitment and making it part of our everyday operations and programming is our goal.

There are three challenges that NFC Sports must accept to enjoy all possible benefits of our core values.

* We must embed our core values into our daily operations and culture

* We must build our core values and character development into all we do at NFC Sports including programming, hiring, planning, and budgeting.

* We must ensure that all of our staff, from janitor to CEO, accepts the challenge to teach the NFC Sports core values, first and foremost by leading by example in their own attitude and behavior.
